Title: Just sick or allergic?
Post by: SallyChoasAura on August 17, 2018, 08:01:23 PM
So I live in Indiana and the ragweed is up around this time of year. For some reason I always tend to get this on and off sickness where head, throat, and ears hurt. Also I get a runny nose... 🤒
It's always this time of year when this happens and my mom, whose a nurse, thinks that it's because I might be allergic to ragweed. So we're thinking about maybe getting some testing done to see if I really am allergic to it or not... though it may just be because I have the weakest immune system in my family. 🤷‍♀️

I have a very simple cure for my ragweed allergy.  I just go outside and pull it out of the ground.  I find it one of the easiest weeds to remove.   And yes, the neighbor next to my bedroom doesn't mind me going into his yard and pulling his weeds.l

If it's an allergy, it's because your immune system is reacting to the rag weed. I have allergies that act up sometimes and more so when I spend time outside. The house is sealed all year around so most of the time it's a safe haven from whatever has my name on it. The testing will tell you if you need desensitizing treatment or if you can control it with an occasional allergy pill. My brother and sister were bad enough that they received desensitization treatment while I just get by with an occasional over the counter pill.

My mom plans on pulling them out but unfortunately it's been very wet and rainy for the past few days... I live in the woods so we don't really have neighbors here lol. But my uncle Abba lives in the cabin my dad built years ago. It's basically their man cave now lol.

My first thought is that you should indeed go see a specialist and get tested.  It might be something more or even something different than an allergic reaction... my suggestion is that you consider getting a professional opinion and plysical exam.
