Title: My SRS in next week
Post by: zlobnica on January 26, 2019, 09:36:02 PM
I just arrived today in Bangkok. I have date surgery with dr. Chettawut. I'm so nervous who was the same one? especially kills me with the worry of being satisfied with the result after the operation ... I'm 21 years old and Im with my mom in BKK. It was terrible on the plane. I hardly survived those 10 heavy hours on the plane! I'm from europe. How was your time when you left the BKK home when the vagina was still fresh? Did y'all mind? girls, comfort me!
I always knew that I wanted an operation, but I am now in the BKK and in fact I will have an operation! The result is the main reason that worries me so much

P.S. the driver is very friendly and the BKK is incredibly great and beautiful!

Dear, it is perfectly normal to be nervous! It is wonderful you have a supporting mother.    All you have to do is stick out your arm and they will do the rest. :)    I wish you the best!

Thanks for all comments and comforting words. Update: today I was at Dr. Chettawut, the doctor is very friendly and has calmed me down. I really trust him. He promised me that he would make a nice vagina and deep enough. The clinic is, as everyone says, really small and also somewhat lower. I also saw a trans person today who is living in the same hotel. So, I'm just waiting now for big day. ☺️

Hi, dear girls. Thanks for nice wishes. Now im 19 days post-op and im leaving Bangkok soon. Yesterday I had revision because of blood. Now everything is ok. About dilation 3 times per day,  its so tiring and I asked Chet about 2 times per day (75min) he replied thats ok but 3 times is better. What about y'all? Which one of y'all practicing 2 times per day? Thanks.

zlobnica,

I think it's better keep 3-time a day for at least the first a few months. I did so for the first three month and keep 2-time a day for the first year. If you dilate less before the full recovery, you risk yourself with more bleeding. And if you dilate more often, it's also easier to move up your dilator size. My experience is you don't have to dilate that long. To me, 15-min for a dilator is sufficient after the first 2-3 months. So once you can dilate twice a day, the life becomes very manageable.

Good luck!
Julia

Hi, thank you for reply. You are right, I agree, I decided to use the first three months three times a day. Then two times a day.

I have another question for the others, did y'all stop using the pads after three months?
Did y'all always go under the shower after dilating when the gel stayed inside the vagina? Thanks!

I was using pads for over one year after my SRS. I still keep a few on hand just in case something happens.

I'm 11 weeks and I'm using liners only.  I change it twice per day.  I don't sleep with one.

I shower when it's convenient. But if I don't shower I have baby wipes and make sure I get as much of the gel as possible.  I've switched brands from McKesson, which had an odor, to Aquagel which is almost odorless.  It also comes in 1/2 gallon pump container.  So I keep refilling the McKesson tubes.

Thanks for answer. Another one question. The muscles on my left foot still hurts from anesthesia. How can I ease pain? when will it pass?

Your foot is probably sore from being in the stirrups. If it's not getting any better, or there are signs of swelling, see a doctor. There is a very small chance you could have developed a clot but it's more likely a pulled muscle.

Now I'm worried and calling the doctor, I hope everything will be fine. I don't know if Ican now start to take estrogen given that I probably have a blood clot?

Where y'all using the vaginal douche? On toilet? I can't use it on a toilet because the water does not come in the vagina.the inside vagina already smells terribly.

+1 for shower

The first few months after surgery it was nearly every day then changed to once a week and finally as needed which for me is 1-2 times a month.

My surgeon gave me something similar to this:

Except the hose was brownish red. You can find it on Amazon by searching for "douche syringe". (I can't put a direct link per forum rules.)

It says it's disposable and for anal use, but can be safely used multiple times for vaginal use ONLY since it's NOT being used anally.

Just draw the solution (I use 1 Tablespoon white distilled vinegar to 1 cup tap water) in the syringe (you can save unused until later) and lubricate the tip with a water-based lubricant, insert in the vagina and push the plunger flushing out your vagina. If the fluid comes out stinky or non-clear, you might need to repeat again, but I've never had to repeat it the same day.

Soon will be a two month post-op. Dilation is ok. But sleep is very terrible. I'm feel so uncomfortable because of pain muscles around genital area.
I wonder in how much time did y'all finally sleep normally?

At three months I finally began to feel that I was really healing.   I am now two weeks past that and sleep much better and can sit without my special pillow.    However, I still have swelling and easily wet myself when I urinate.   My surgeon keeps reminding me that it takes a year to experience complete healing!   Patience, and then more patience.  ;)

You're right. For now it's getting better. As you said patience and then more patience:)
Now im on #3 dilation yay!!! I did it! I was so afraid lol.  But I wonder... do we really have to dilate for the rest of our lives? Because of vaginal canal collapse, but I can't imagine that I have to dilate, let's say, at age of 80?! I can't imagine this.

And question for Chet girls, Did you reduce time too? Let's say from 2.5 hours a day to 2 hours a day? everything was OK?

If you want to be ready for sex, you will have to dilate or have sex for the rest of you life. After a few years it's possible to stop dilating but it will take a few months to get things back the way they should be. I went 10 years without dilating and there are posts where people had undersize partners but by returning to dilating they were able to regain their original size.

Well, that sounds better. Thanks. What about cream removal scars? Which cream is the best?
Is also recommended a scar massage with vitamin E?

I'm deciding between Dermatix gel and Newgel+E. I have experience with Dermatix and it's really good but the pictures also show that Newgel + E fade away scars very well.

Zlobnica, the scars will fade away regardless of the creams used. I personally believe that those creams don't do anything. My SRS scars are invisible without any treatment. I also used Dr Ch.

Wou I'm glad to hear that. Which lubricant do you use? Maybe K-Y gel? And what's your schedule of dilation? Maybe 2 times a day? Thanks:)

Oh well then. I saw that I had some hair in the vaginal opening, can this be removed by a laser? Have cis women also hair in the vaginal opening?

I've heard of hair in the vulva being removed by electrolysis. Not sure laser would be good in there.

I mean at the opening. Inside, but where you can reach it. I've seen women write about doing it.

The problem when its deep is that its very difficult for the probe to get inside to do the work,

If you're getting a foul smell from your Vagina you likely have a Bacterial Infection . . . .
