Title: Help
Post by: Cin on July 01, 2016, 01:56:43 AM
Can someone explain chat to me, I don't understand things like x has set y mode or if there are actual people in some of the chat rooms or if it is just an auto generated response

I haven't spent much time in chat, but there is a bot that provides rules and information in addition to doing some of the moderation. Foul language will quickly get you kicked out of chat. Other than the bot, there are real people but they may not respond to your remarks sometimes. Names with the ZZZZ in them are inactive and the person might be away from the keyboard.

Most channels in chat are normally silent unless needed. If you need help and you go into a channel like help you may want to make sure that people know hat you need help and if a channel moderator or ircOP is available along with other members you should be able to get help. In times when things are lighter it is best to go looking for help in #chat. I hope that helps. Hugs
