Title: Munich 2018
Post by: Yvetteforfun on April 04, 2018, 11:34:03 AM
Hi!

I'm traveling to Munich in September and would love to meet some other t-girls for socializing and getting to know a bit about Munich.  Love to have some ideas about fun things to do and see...and of course Oktoberfest...

Any help would be most appreciated...

Cheers,
Yvette

Uuuh! This sounds like a lot of fun. I have been to the Octoberfest a few years back while working for a Munich company. I am also trying to convince my managers that I need a trip to our Munich offices in September. However I am not sure timing will work since we just had some delays. Maybe October is better anyways, the traditional Octoberfest Dresses will be on sale then and I can add a second one to my collection.

Munich during Octoberfest is incredibly packed (mostly with drunk people).

If you are into hiking, there are plenty of opportunities around Munich. Munich itself offers tons of Museums, I can particularly recommend the Science Museum. I am not too much into Arts but there are many awesome galleries and museums too.

If you are going to get an Octoberfest Dress, just keep the "relationship status" in mind: Bow on the right means in a relationship, on the left means single and in the center means "It's complicated"... Hahaha... Apparently this is still a thing.

That is me in a traditional Octoberfest dress (actually bought in PA but German made) before attending our local Octoberfest in VA...

Unfortunately while I do know a bunch of people in Munich, they are all cis...

Hope someone else replies.

If you know a bit of German, I could give you information on one of the larger German trans online communities. Maybe you can find someone there. They do have a english part but it is about the same than the international parts here and fairly quiet. Just PM me if you want more information.

Awesome, i see you are all set... I'll send you the link via PM.

I can also explain why you cannot change your profile picture: Profile pictures become unlocked once you have made 15 posts here. Feel free to chime in on any discussion or ask more questions and you will reach the 15 in no time.

The 15 post will also unlock writing and replying to PM. Right now you can read but not reply.

Hugs Sarah
