Title: Masks?
Post by: Wild Flower on November 07, 2012, 07:47:26 PM
Has anyone tried masks in a way to pass?

I can see how this can work.

I want to be me, not some sort of pretend person or fake.

Besides, many things look better on video / TV than they do in real life. If you got caught wearing that in the ladies loo you would really be in trouble because you would not be a woman or a trans-woman - you would be a man dressed up.

Going through the pain of transition at least gives us all some validity. People are prepared to admit that doing what we have to do proves we are serious about it and want it sorted. Nobody transitions for a bit of lark....

This is why I have a problem with wigs. It's a bit like sending someone else out instead of me.

Indeed. Even though my wig was better in some respects I ditched it as soon as I could and went with my scraggly hair because it was mine.

I seriously had a good laugh looking over some vids where folks prank their friends and masks look quite convincing, when depicting elderly folks I suppose, at least on the videos they do. But such would be a cup-out and may slow the transition process and strive and energy to get to the holy grail of transition, womanhood full on.
I am a member of another forum and there are couple girls there who believe that they could never pass, so they wear vinyl suits and masks. But everyone should believe that passability is achievable despite the age factor, also that to become absolutely passable at older age, FFS will be necessary, together with HRT and some time.
