I received happy news this week. I will be getting my FFS performed on June 16 at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York City. It will be performed by two surgeons, Dr. Rachel Bluebond-Langner and Dr. Eduardo Rodriguez. I've met Dr. B-L twice for consults and feel really positive about her - she has been candid with me at every step of the way. She is not a fan of scalp advancement, and recommended that I get a hair transplant instead (which I have). She directed me to another surgeon (Dr. Ira Papel) for my rhinoplasty because she said he was the best (had that done, too).
This still leaves ten separate procedures I'm getting done, so I'm glad there will be another surgeon participating. I hadn't heard of Dr. Rodriguez previously, but he is actually the Chair of the Dept. of Plastic Surgery. He also performed the world's most extensive face transplant last year. I'll be meeting him for a consult for the first time in a few weeks.
I am so looking forward to this. I have chosen to transition to 24/7 as well as legally after FFS, so I've definitely invested this event with a lot of importance. Will update this thread as events unfold if people are interested.

I was just on the phone with her office his morning to schedule a consultation to finish what I started My GAS. I have had an orchidectomy done. I realize this thread is 10 months old currently. However just ran across Dr Lagners name elsewhere. May I ask how things went for you with your June surgery date? Does Dr Lagner have a resource page of other before & after photos of her previous work? Just glancing around at various posts, she appears very highly regarded.

He is known globally for pioneering the most advanced face transplants. I am very happy with the results, and I feel I have been in the best possible hands. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Hi glad to hear you're happy with your results! Do you mind sharing your before and after? I'm seriously considsering Dr. Bluebond-Langner because I've so many good things. I haven't heard of Dr. Eduardo Rodriguez until now.
