Title: Emisil STP Gen2 smell
Post by: charlyJLU on March 19, 2019, 11:21:34 AM
Hi everyone,

I just received my STP Gen2 from Emisil and it has a very strong gasoline smell to it (as well as the rod that came with it), to the point where it burns my throat and gives me nausea. I own quite a few toys and it's not the first time I smell something like that, but never that strong and discusting. I tried washing it, but it didn't work, whereas other toys did lose the smell when I washed them. Did any of you had the same issue ? If so, did the smell fade with time or you had to wash it with a special product ? Thanks to anyone who can enlighten me on the situation, it kinda freaks me on "sanitary" part of the product.

(also this is my first post ever, please be kind and tell me if there's anything wrong with/in the post, I will correct it right away)

Welcome to Susan's Place. I don't have a product like that but I have a suggestion. Devices like that are cast with a material that contains a catalyst and a resin. If the mixture isn't exactly right, it possible for the product to turn out different than it supposed to. The smell suggest that a mistake was made in manufacturing so my suggestion is to call the manufacture and see if they can correct the problem. I hope their support is good and the problem will be quickly resolved.
