World Medical Association Approves New Trans Health Care Guidelines

International groups representing doctors and health care providers worldwide have adopted new guidelines for caring for transgender patients, Gay Star News reports.

Nearly 60 national medical associations meeting at the World Medical Association's annual general assembly in Moscow on Sunday agreed everyone who experiences gender dysphoria has a right to affordable transition-related care.

This is good to hear.
About time. I mean I understand that LGBT are a unique bunch however we deserve that same medical care and understanding that non LGBT people receive.

It's great to say it, but DO it because the cost for most is silly expensive.

It's about time. Everyone deserves equal rights. Writing the guidelines will be the toughest part. Using the clearest and most concise language is critical and seems so impossible to achieve. It was a huge problem that was trying to be cleared up in Houston prop 1 HERO which unfortunately was not passed.
