I've had this question for about 2 years now and it seems to be a question that I cannot answer, however much I try. Sometimes when I see a cute girl, a girl with nice hair, a girl with nice makeup, a nice outfit, etc. I'm not sure if I feel attraction or a feeling of "I want to be like that". Can somebody please help?

Hi Average,
I know exactly what you're saying. But with me I knew that 100%, without a doubt I wanted to be like them...I also wanted to be with them. That's why I've spent the last 35 years telling people I was a lesbian, which was LONG before I ever thought of transitioning. I think in my own little way I was also "coming out" to people without saying the words.
Sadly no one ever picked up on that so my secret stayed safe. I really wish it hadn't though because if I had had the courage, I wouldn't be just now starting to transition at the age of 50. I would have already had the body that I know I've wanted for most of my life. I knew that I wanted to be a female back when I was 5, and that never once changed for me.
