Title: Surgeon reviews by members
Post by: Susan on June 24, 2014, 01:33:40 PM
Please note that occasionally people will post negative reviews of one doctor or another, and sometimes be quite vocal about it. Members are encouraged to understand that each surgical case is different and to use your own judgement and do your own research when weighing the validity of a person's claims about their results and about the skills and qualifications of the doctor based on that situation.

Please understand that doctors in most cases are prohibited from discussing the specifics of a patients case due to medical confidentiality laws.

**Opinion**

I personally think that the law should include a provision that once a patient talks about their own case in a public forum, the doctor should be free to provide information from the record rebutting the claims and statements made. But that is not currently the case in most venues.
