So if any of you have a cat, you know they can be little sh*ts. Well mine's always been a good little kitty and just love giving me nuzzles, but sometimes he just runs and jumps around and gets into literally everything. And he's doing that right now and I'm just like, 'Son, child, plz shtap,' but he's all like, 'lol nah.'
*Exhales deeply* BOI.😑😐😠
Try having three. Larry, Darrell and his other brother Darrell are as different as the seasons, but all share the trait of being butts at times.
Hugs, Jessica
The struggle is real.😔
I am friendly with a couple of neighbourhood cats, especially one I think is called Debbie. When it sees me, it walks up to me and I stroke it, then it rolls on its back so I can tickle its belly. I have to be alert, though, because when it has had enough, it sinks its teeth and claws into my hand, drawing blood, unless I pull my hand away quickly enough.
It used to try entering my home (it succeeded on a couple of occasions) but I never deliberately let it in, as I don't want it to think it has another home. After a while, it got fed up of the repeated snubs. When it saw me in the street, it would walk towards me in its usual fiendly way but when it got close it would do a 90 degree turn and cross the road to its own house, as if to say "I don't need you, I already have a home." It seems to have forgiven me now, though, so I am back to having to pull my hand away quickly.
Maybe you should take it in, unless you have a dog or something.
Our cat is just lazy. He is missing most of the time. You can wander the house, look under around over .. no cat. Decide to relax, sit on the couch and poof .. cat in the lap wanting attention. how does that work?
He has a self feeder .. until the bowl is mostly empty. he will NOT paw at the remainder to get more out. He wanders the house squalling until one of us goes in there and shakes it down for him.
what is it with cats?
Lol. Cat's tend to be more independent than dogs but there are some breeds like the simise that are over-dependent to the point of them being doglike.😸
Is being a butt, showing you their butt, and rubbing their butt in your face not the essence of cat?
Well I mean you're not wrong...🤔
mine's so lazy, he won't even move when it's insisted upon. My dog wanted lap time:

One of mine wants to be pet so much that if you stop she will force her head under your hand to be pet. And I'm actually rather surprised how strong she can be at that :p
It gets a little annoying when I'm trying to use my keyboard but I still love her :3
My lap cat is kneading my dress. He also did this yesterday.
Aw~ Both of your cats sound so cute~
I don't have cats, but 3 cats own me.
Pff.. lol 😆
I've always had dogs and I am definitely a dog person but we took in my great aunts 2 cats when she went to a nursing home. If we hadn't taken them they would have gone to the pound. One is elderly, 14 years old. The other is 4 years old. The older cat attached herself to Tyler and she's pretty much his cat now. The younger cat isn't attached to anyone really and she is a little hooligan. She often goes tearing through the house and up and down the stairs. She can open cabinets if they don't have a magnetic catch and it's not unusual to open a cabinet and have her fly out and scare you to death. Thankfully she doesn't get on the counters but she does everyplace else. All our furniture is glass top so I am forever cleaning off cat footprints and hair. She also likes to lay in a dining room chair and when my dog walks by she reaches down and bats her on the head. Tyler bought two sets of those pet stairs so the older cat can get up on his bed and up on the sofa. Sometimes the younger cat will lay on the couch and as the older one starts to climb the pet stairs she slaps her in the head.
The only thing we've ever found effective for controlling a cat is a spray bottle of water. The cat only has to see the spray bottle and she runs. When she gets annoying with flying through the house, like when she's been doing it for half an hour I get out the vacuum and set it in the middle of the floor. She will immediately get on top of her cat jungle gym thing and just watch it and hiss occasionally.
Having watched the behavior of these 2 cats I have learned that cats are pretty much little Dick heads. Lol
Julia, yes they definitely are.

I meant "friendly", not "fiendly".
Oh, I don't know, though ...
