Title: good sports bra?
Post by: yaka on March 01, 2011, 05:52:54 PM
anyone have recommendations for sports bras that can flatten?
Or any experience with using a binder for high intensity cardio etc. Like can you breathe ok with it?
I am a size 32C if that helps
Cheers

The frog bra isn't being made anymore. Something about they are out of the fabric that it's made out of and are trying to find a good substitute?

You could try Enell. They make a sports bra that's intended for larger chests so it might not be right for you. They also have information on male sports bras which they custom make based on measurements you give them. They charge $75 for the custom male one but they work with you through the whole process. Also, if it's not a perfect fit the first time they can alter it for you.

I could do cardio in my velcro llb binders.  I actually just went and shoveled snow in it.  They do make sports bras as well so you might want to check there.  I'd be more worried about sweat than breathing, I think they have a few mesh backed options.

Piggy-backing on this as I also need a bra that reduces as much as possible, and doesn't result in a mono-moob or pointy tits.

I currently use a Berlei minimiser and, after a few adjustments, it really does a good job of squashing my 34C into something that I can ignore.  However, I then bought them in black and flesh and both these colours have a different shape to my first white one, giving me horrible, pointy moobs that I just can't stand.

So, any other suggestions for what might work, guys?

Oh, and the Frog bra seems to have been superceded by the Boulder Holder.  And it is on offer at the moment.

I have one that works really well if you go about a size down. I think it's a Campion (I don't remember the exact model, but I got it at Kohls) and fairly comfortable - except, after a while of wearing it it does dig into my underarms a bit, but it's more of an "itchy" feeling than pain. I'm about a 34-36 B and wear it in a small, so I don't know how well a larger size would work for you. Also, it's kind of troublesome to get on and off since it's pretty darn tight.

Most of the sports bras I've worn work fairly well on their own if it's a size smaller - but I definitely do not recommend sleeping with them on as a smaller size.

The best sports bra uptill now with the most positive feedback is Panache Wired Sports Bra. It is available on Amazon so there are even less chances of getting scammed with low quality stuff. https://sportstreamingsites.com/
