Title: Documentation on my journey
Post by: Tarvid on October 07, 2018, 08:44:09 PM
So, I wanted to start this off with setting this up to be more of a description and documentation of my experience with detailed information. I wanted to be able to justify this to myself as what I am doing has low documentation and can be a bit pricey. As such I will be giving a lot of documentations and measurements and will try to keep a timeline and results up to date through this.

Hi Tarvid, welcome to Susan's Place!

I used herbal supplements over a four year period to get to this point:

When age and financial penalties made it a better decision for me to obtain insurance, I went to a doctor and told her I was both male and female, and wanted her to replace my herbals with HRT for my own safety. She readily prescribed a course of estradiol and spironolactone. When the Spiro proved ineffective on me, she suggested an orchiectomy, which was performed in September 2017. My doctor knew all along that I don't identify as a woman, it hasn't impacted my ability to receive the feminising treatment I desire. Don't let "falling outside the norms" hold you back.

Hugs, Devlyn

Hi Devlyn,

Its always great to hear that there are others who have gone the Herbal route and have had results, as most peoples stance on anything herbal is that it just inst as good or effective at all compared to medical grade medicines.

I lot of my research when looking into the bodies utilization of herbal stimulants, came from some old practices and studies done on animals (as these are far better documented then message boards). The major consensus was that every individual reacts similarly to the herbal treatment, but the current state of the body, determines the quality of the reaction. For example, if the body is lacking a certain mineral or element it will accept the herbal treatment better. this is also applied in medicine very often when a doctor will prescribe a medicine to be taken separate to meals, while medication to be taken with a meal must be snuck in with food. I have applied this to the herbal medications I ma taking and it becomes quite tedious with me taking pills 30 min before eating, with eating and between meals (a different pill each time). As plant based pills are best 30 min before food, anything with vitamins or minerals in it go with food and any animal based hormone booster should be taken away from food.

Since starting almost two months ago, i have defiantly seen some changes, my girlfriend has told me that she has seen me being far more feminine and talkative. One friend who has been in the process of transitioning for 2 years now and had been on HRT for one, did mention that the progress i was making was quite impressive, for she didn't have any growth or noticeable changes for the first 3-5 months, and only just hit a solid b cup a few weeks before i started.

So by this point i definitely feel as though i am on the right track for now and will be looking forward to hearing others people experiences so that i can add to my own knowledge of what is occurring.

looking forward to hearing from more people,
Tarvid

8. The discussion of hormone replacement therapy(HRT) and it's medications are permitted, with the following limitations:
A. You may not advocate for or against a specific medication or combinations of medication for personal gain. This is strictly prohibited.
B. You may not discuss the means to acquire HRT medications without a prescription. The discussion of self medication without a doctor's supervision is prohibited.
C. The posting of recommended, or actual dosages, is strongly discouraged to prevent information obtained on this site from being used to self medicate.

We cannot in good conscience condone the self administering of these medications. Not only may self medication be illegal, but HRT medications can cause serious health problems, and many have the potential for life-threatening side effects that can only be detected and prevented with proper medical supervision.
