Title: Anyone have experience with Dr. Bryan Rolfes?
Post by: SnoBrittany on March 22, 2018, 11:50:56 PM
I saw some of his work reviewed on RealSelf and went to his site http://www.nessplasticsurgery.com/our-team/  (http://www.nessplasticsurgery.com/our-team/) and it looks like he does great work.   I live in WA. State where there appear to be no good FFS surgeons so I am looking to line up 3-4 of them this Spring to have consults with in hopes of getting my procedure done around Sept.

I am having my second consult with Dr Rolfes next week to finalize things. The link you posted is for Dr Ness - who is more of a generalist. Ness and Rolfes have a bit of a partnership and work under the same roof.

Rolfes has his own site on: http://www.omnifps.com/.   He lacks before & afters on his site, but you can find some stuff on "RealSelf" .  Here there are 15 reviews, some with before/afters, and all give him 5 stars. https://www.realself.com/find/Minnesota/Minneapolis/Otolaryngologist/Bryan-Rolfes

Dr Rolfes is engaging, personal, and has a great CV.  He trained under Spiegel for a while. I wish I could see more before/afters.  But I'm willing to take a leap of faith.  He has been added to my insurance network, and I have been approved for a full suite of FFS procedures - all covered. This made my decision easier. I'm scheduled for 2 days of surgeries, with hospital recovery after each day. Surgeries are scheduled for May 14th and 15th, and I go home on the 15th.  A BA is in the mix of all the FFS stuff as well. I don't get on this site often, and so lack the ability to post pics.  I may post them to RealSelf - TBD.

I had surgeries with Dr Rolfes on 5/14, 5/15, 5/21.  Probably close to 20 hours total?  Full suite of FFS procedures, plus BA, plus vocal folds.

Initial swelling was horrendous.  Now it is so much better.  I can't speak for another week-ish.

Based on what I can see, and this is very early, the results look great.

From what I can see from his website the doctor is super handsome. He is beautiful. I hope he also does a great job. Will you post before/ after pics?

I hope everything went well with your recovery and I can't wait to see the results *if* you post them!    I consulted with Dr. Rolfes and am now waiting for Pre-authorization from my insurance before I schedule my surgery.
