Some dead guy's penis on me though.... I wouldn't be comfortable with that. They should try to concentrate on stem cells and growing organs from those, lots of life-saving applications there for others besides us for this tech. Although with FTM there's always the issue of underlying connective tissues are part of penis function. Just attaching a penis won't mean it's got the proper anchorage and so on.
They should focus on 3d printing a penis for trans men using our own DNA and skin calls rather than cutting off a dead guy's penis and increasing the chance of a biological female body rejecting the penis.
The main problem with any transplant is that unless the donor is your identical twin, you will need to take anti-rejection drugs for the rest of your life. These anti-rejection drugs will suppress your immune system, making you more vulnerable to bacterial and viral infections.
Today's best option for a functional sensate penis is a metoidioplasty after hormone therapy grows the clitoris to a small penis. It may be a bit small, but at least it is your own penis.
