I love this... It's so dynamic, and fresh! Thanks for sharing this! I include singers in the phrase "musicians", in fact, other than mixing the tracks, and writing lyrics; singing is What Maja does for the sounds.

My top four, I couldn't decide on the fifth.

Personally, I think my choices say more about my age than musical tastes. Lol.
Did I forget Lita Ford?
I actually ran into her on Friday night at the Ronnie James Dio thingy.
Oh yes, and Tal Wilkenfeld is amazeballs. I saw her with Jeff Beck a couple of times. Jeff actually let her do all the leads on "Freeway Jam".

YES! Laura Marling is awesome. You have good taste :D
Lindsey Stirling? Check.
Alison Goldfrapp? Check.
Laura Marling? Check.
I wanted to bump this because nobody mentioned Claire Elise Boucher, otherwise known by her stage name Grimes. I absolutely adore her as a musician and person. I recently bought Visions, Darkbloom and Art Angels and she's now my favourite artist.
Some people complained about Art Angles for sounding too "mainstream". Personally, I shy away from anyone who criticises music on those grounds.
I have Flesh Without Blood on repeat.

I know Sia has been mentioned. I've been listening to Chandelier at least once a day the past week and checked out her other singles. I quite like her music and Maddie Ziegler is a grand mix of adorbs and crazy-awesome.
Blondie back in the day. hottest woman ever lived. my opinion. have all her music videos. Fave tune Die Young Stay Pretty
I could list so many - I'll try and list my top 5 (for today at least)
t Vincent - one of the world's best musicians period.
The Haim sisters - still waiting for them to release a record that does their live act justice, search YouTube for their version of Fleetwood Mac's 'Oh Well'
Nina Simone - an icon
Delia Derbyshire - an innovator
Angela Gossow - a game changer in terms of what women could do in rock
