My name is Suleyman Yamani, I am a trans man attending community college. My goal is to start a research paper on the transgender experiences of people in different ethic and economic groups
I was told by my professors a while ago to try to start making my own research paper to see how it goes. So, I decided to do it. (If they like it, I can present it at my college, ELAC).
In this survey, I am trying to see how much culture, ethnicity, race, religion and economic status affect trans people.
There are 27 questions but you don't have to do a lot of writing. It's pretty short and fast, it should take you maybe 15-20 minutes. This survey is just to get an idea of where I want to go with this.
As of the time this email has been sent, there have been 46 responses. I am aiming for 100. I want to post in Susan's Place in order to get more data from trans women as the majority are trans men and nonbinary people.

I get that this isn't someone working on a doctorate, however I have to question the design validity of a study that announces on its splash screen that it's trying to recruit more binary people (also the request post on susans:
"I want to post in Susan's Place in order to get more data from trans women as the majority are trans men and nonbinary people"
I see no statement that this study has been evaluated or approved by the institution. I'll fill it out but surprised this is approved as "research".
I abandoned this survey when it provided a "check one" option for race. The researcher included a "Other" racial option but that strikes a sore spot with me, having dealt with far too much racial injustice when I was younger.
I am looking forward to the future when more people understand a "check one" racial question is almost as backwards as a "check one" gender binary. To be accurate, I believe individuals should be allowed to simply choose more than one race and/or gender without having to create an exception.

This is a very young researcher and is under supervision. All feedback is good in order for them to learn.
