Title: Hiyez

I've been lurking here for some time, thought I'd take the opportunity of the new forums to introduce myself (and even get a username). I seem to be the only guy here so far, but I know there were some who used to post.

My name is Dennis, I'm a 42 year old FtM who just started transition in January of this year. I had three fears about transition - partner, work, and family (loss thereof). Only one came true - partner. And that turns out to be a blessing in disguise. I'm much happier single at the moment.

I'm still working under my female name because not much has happened yet, testosterone-wise, but my boss just rang me on the intercom and said I should be thinking about making the change at work soon because my voice has gone bass and my face is starting to catch up. Chest surgery in August may be the time for me. I'm a lawyer and my biggest concern about making the change too early is that right now I look about 14 in a suit and that isn't great for credibility.

Anyway, great community. Thanks for rebuilding it, Susan.

Hello and welcome Dennis,

I am pleased to see you here and hope we have lots of other male members soon. Most of the threads we (M2F) post aren't gender specific and you are most welcome to join in on any discussion. It would really be nice to hear from you.

I believe your credability comes thru your competence lots more than your appearance. You are obviously very competent and confident in your law abilities, so just let that confidence override concerns about your appearance. (lots easier to say than do I know)

I wish you lots of good fortune and happiness
