Basically I've kind of decided that I want to change my name from "Sophie Hannah Alexis" and I have decided I'm going to go on as "Hannah Samira" (Samira being my new middle-name). So I was just wondering is there any way for me to change this on the forum??

Done! The answer to your question is that members used to be able to change their names, and the privilege was abused by some members. It gets very confusing when people are frequently changing their names.

Looks like I've found my grown up name and I'm Alice now.
Could someone pretty please change my username (Hope Alice is available).

Alice is taken and has been used in the last few months. If you look in the upper right hand corner of the screen you will see a member tab. Enter Alice in the search and you will see the variations that have already been used. You may add initials or most special characters to make the name unique.
Lucky for me it was taken. I've decided I'm staying me :)

Becca is currently used by another users that was last on about a year ago. You can check possible names in the upper righthand corner with the Members tab. The options are to pick another name or possibly Cindy might allow you to take over the name.

Ok I finally got it to work. I did it 4 times and everytime it said it was updated but it was not showing the updated email address. So I think I changed the password at the same time and now it shows the correct email address. Thank god. So I will get any mail that is needed and will be checking in time to time.

When I searched "Lisa" it showed it wasn't taken, but the system sees it differently. Probably by the one member with "lisa" is the reason, though. She has never posted for 3 years.
When I tried to change it it stopped me, so I will use your original choice of Lisa~

ErinAscending, I will make the change on your profile page. I will have to request that Cindy (our administrator) make the change official. It will show up to others as your chosen name however; you will have to re-sign in once Cindy does that.
You may only change your name once a year. I will contact you when my part is done and again when Cindy has done hers.

I just saw this thread pop up yesterday and did some looking regarding my own username. When I registered it said that the username "Lacy" was already taken. After reading this I checked again in the list of usernames and saw that "Lacy" is no longer in use.
Would it be possible to change my username to Lacy instead of RealLacy? If so, my email on file is corrected.

We need to verify that the email you're using on your account is accurate and controlled by you. Don't post your email here, just let us know it's good. Then we'll change your screen name, followed by the Forum Admin changing your username (which you'll login with).

I need to confirm that your email is still good and that you are able to receive emails from the site. The username doesn't appear to be in use by anyone. once you confirm, then I will change the first step before the admin completes the second step. Hugs

I used to be known as Julie-h before the crash but I was discouraged from changing my name to Julie in real life. I was helped in coming up with the name Athena Sophia Katz. If possible I would like to change my forum name to Athena.

By the by, I changed my avatar image to one with my actual face with editing, making me look so much younger and like my mother! I was shocked when the AI produced this image, but it is how I see myself! I couldn't wait to share it. I can't figure out how to change the hair color to match my white though. I guess I'll have to color it to match in real life :D
