Title: Global Warming.
Post by: JMJW on July 26, 2018, 07:18:35 AM
You know.

If we each made a decision to use public transport, walk or cycle instead of driving cars, to not buy more food than we need (obesity epidemic would be solved) to not get drunk and waste medical resources, to not waste paper, to not leave plugs on and waste energy when things are not being used, to use energy efficient bulbs, to not have more than two kids, to not buy the latest shiny stuff just because it's new and fashionable, to cut down meat consumption, to actually use things until they wear out,and recycle. If we did all these sensible things we should be doing anyway, across the world - then the human race would survive this. It wouldn't be a global catastrophe. And we wouldn't have to rely on squabbling fillibustering weak, sheltered and ignorant politicians who never agree to anything to save us.

We can't ask politicians to decrease supply when the demand for energy remains high. The demand is on us. We the 99%, used the energy, we can change our habits and fix it.

The internet is a powerful tool that's connected the globe more than ever before. I'm going to paste this message on every online space I know. I urge others to do the same.  I've had enough of news media treating this like just another issue before quickly moving onto the next story.
