Well I haven't started any kind if transition from male to anything, but i was thinking of starting to grow my hair out to something that looks a little more androgynous.

Go for it! Of course you will probably be labeled major female and suffer Male fail. :) Just do what makes you happy. Live life on your terms, no one else's. :) That would be a totally cute hair style by the way.
Wild short hair like that can cut both ways in terms of how people read it, so it might work out fabulously.
There will always be someone who won't like your hair and try to distract you from their own shortcomings. Don't let it bother you. :)
Don't let that lack of understanding of what non-binary is and the less than stellar comments of who you will look like, when it comes to androgynous looks, stop you from being who you want to be. :)
Who you are and how you feel about your looks is your business.
It's true, there will be those who lack the understanding of non-binary, but don't let their insecurities in expression and gender roles stop you from being the best you can be.
It's sad that many binaries have expressions that are not much more than roles.
Non-Binaries aren't generally restricted in those ways.
Which I take is how you want to present. Be the expression you want the world to see. It's an extension of who you are.
More and more of society is becoming more acceptable with androgynous looks and non-binary genders everyday.
Androgynous has been a staple of fashion for many years and it will continue to do so.
Be your identity. Be yourself. There are no rules when it comes to style and expression for non-binary people.
I see people with basically that length of hair and done up in various ways, all of which look good, some more androgynous than others.
It's a good length to have some fun with. Grow it out and be creative.

Yeah, I think I'm going to go for it! Actually, I'm not used to having longer hair... I know it's not really long, but me in the pic at the top is the longest my hairs ever been :P
I haven't cut my hair in almost fourteen years. Do what you want. It's your body.
It may work out well, but make sure you get it done right, I could see some stylists thinking you want Bieber hair if you don't show them a picture.

Hey Mickie, I've just started to grow mine out as well, and my model hairdo is very similar to that of the blond chick you posted, copycat :P
It will take quite some months for either of us to get there, but hey, if you need to be discreet in some settings just gel it back.
Of course, if you go for highlights (my intention), then we should expect a bit of flack, but that's par for the course!! Go for it!!
Love the plan. Every time I have started to grow out my hair it has hit the messy in between stage and I reverted to short hair. Almost like purging outfits - stupid I know and I knew at the time that I will try again. This is a great post and I think that I will try for a similar look as I suspect that it could pass as edgy corporate during the day and allow the real me out after work.

hate the in-between stage!? Also want to go for the edgy corporate look, but would need to match that with some edgy suits. Honey, do you know how conservative engineers are! :D
Totally agree you should go for it. At worst, somebody might lump you in with emo kids and other fashion-conscious youth subcultures, but screw them. :laugh:
You have every right to modify yourself in whatever way you please, and if you don't like the results you can just cut it shorter or grow it longer or change the shape of the cut or whatever. You just might love what you see in the mirror. Best of luck. I bet you end up looking lovely. :)

I'm not too sure what to do myself. I have growing my hair out for six months and NOBODY has noticed... If hair would much grow on top that would really help!

Your hair lays pretty flat even short, so it should grow out pretty well without an "awkward phase" or anything. I'm thinking longer hair would be good with your facial shape, too.

I chickened out. While mine inches along, I decided to scare it by buying a wig. And with that I brought forward my "presenting as a girl" event by 6 months, which is kinda cool...
