Okay.  I have two pictures both with me in it and both with my wife.  I blurred her face because I don't know if she is cool with this or not.  She transitioned with me from female to male just without hormones or anything like that.  Its a long story.  Shes not blurred on my facebook page though. I don't think she minds people seeing her there.  Oh and add me if you want!  It's cool. :D

Not really an "after" picture since I'm still in the early, early phases of transition. But I feel pretty good about how much healthier I seem and I think there's potential there to pass some day. Still ways to go, but I'm on my way.

You are the first to admit it takes work to be a woman. I agree and add, good genes help. You put in the work, and have good genes. Now you can hang out with old friends and they do not know who you are.

So why are people so amazed by your pictures here (myself included)?

Well, the pics are good, for starters. You are tasteful in wardrobe and makeup. AND you glow with joy. The skin has changed, but how you feel in said skin has changed even more.

You are the epitome of what I keep trying to tell people. HRT does very little visually, it is the effort we put in, the enjoyment we feel, and the culmination of all these teeny tiny results that paint the real picture.

It is who you are, how you present, and the bravery to not give a flying ****, that really makes the difference.

People are inspired because of your looks? Good luck people. Jenny has great genes. She should have been FAAB.

People should be inspired by your heart and soul. Because THAT is what really makes the difference.

I have to disagree here. Your mental state is an abstract thing. Passability is concrete. It doesn't really matter how you feel on the inside, you still won't be passable unless you look female. Even with mannerisms and a projection of confidence, it won't do anything unless you look female. That said, I disagree that HRT does very little visually. The changes that HRT causes are subtle, but that doesn't mean they're little. It's the subtleties that people pick up on that are used to determine someone's gender. So having those subtleties changed has a profound effect on your overall appearance.

Dee, I totally agree, lining it all up would be the most difficult part. I have made one chainmail which was quite easy and then I struggled with chainmail coif immensely though because it has round design - we actually discussed those notorious chainmail bikinis with one of my fellow reenactors who was also a blacksmith and sort of agreed that cups could be made by using two round basis for coifs and the rest would just run in regular straps. But even having no breasts for ourselves we agreed that this stuff would chafe as hell and be quite revealing, so using a beaten steel plates for cups and chainmail for straps did sound as a more reasonable idea :D.

It may be just me but I don' t think that young man in the first picture is you. He looks to be about 15 or so and  a completely different ethnicity than you. I am not doubting that if th e after picture is really you or your trans status. But the before pic I dont think even remotely looms like you.

Thank you.  For another four weeks, that is a wig - a very good wig but still a wig.  My hair isn't long enough yet even with extensions. But, in four weeks, I can go with extensions and it will work.  I will need a hair transplant if I want thick hair - it's about 5K at Bosley to get the hair quantity I want.  I'm going to try and bundle a hair transplant and some excess skin removal with Dr Z in Oct.  Maybe I can get it cheaper like that.  However, from what I was to where I am is great.

This is me a couple days post FFS  with Dr Z in a full head pressure cast.  The nurse was super, Cole was super everyone was super.  It made a hard time much easier.  I smiled though the pain knowing it was right.

Today was my first day at work as Jane and I thought I'd share my ID "before and after" pics. The left was a not-so-happy 48 year-old-man beginning work with a growing Fortune 500 company. The right is a much happier 49 year-old-woman starting her new life--with a new position--with a growing Fortune 250 company (same company, but we just moved up a few notches).

THE FIRST PHOTO IS OVERUSED HERE, BUT I LOATHED MYSELF SO TERRIBLY I GENERALLY FORBADE PHOTOS. SO IT'S ONE OF THE FEW I HAVE AROUND THE TIME I TRANSITIONED.

I don't know how happy I look in these other photos, but I'd never been happy until I transitioned, and it keeps getting better. I weighed 226 on my first day of HRT,
and got down by May 2013 to 160. My brother had a liver transplant that failed and he died, July 10th, 2013, and I went all the way back up to 188 by February 2014,
and am losing weight again. Yesterday, September 14th, I was down to 173. Hopefully, early next year I'll have my GRS in Thailand.....I can hardly wait!!!

I appreciate that I could probably do with smiling, but honestly I was just trying to make sure my thumb actually hit the shutter button on the screen, but anyway this is my face after a year (and 4 days).

As I'm sure is the case for many people here there are a lot of things I'm not happy with or want to change, but it's progress. Slow, but still progress. I think.

So, I already posted this in "fabulous," but was kinda excited seeing this pic against an old one. So here's my contribution; before is shortly before I last cut my own hair, a little over 2 years ago. And then this morning, after cutting my hair last night for the first time since!
