Canadian Country Forums Area .... WELCOME
« on: July 16, 2019, 11:28:12 am »
Hello to all of my Canadian neighbors.

It's aboot bloody time that you have your own forums thread area to share your stories.

Living in the Northern USA and now in neighboring Alaska to your West
I am quite accustomed to the extra letters "u" and "q" and other
spelling differences in our "English" language lexicon. (very similar to the UK, Australia and New Zealand)

...a few examples follow but there are many, many more...
... i.e.  Vigour  Cheque  Odour  Labour  Colour  Catalogue  Flavour  Valour  Centre  Theatre

Let's continue to be good neighbors and enjoy the things that we have in common.
In my experience, Canucks and Yankees will always be good friends despite some insignificant differences.

Now that you are oot and aboot with your very
own Canadian Country Forums area....  we are laughing, eh !!!

I will be eagerly looking for your future postings.

HUGS,
Danielle

I’ve been there many times and love it, love it, love it. 💕💕💕
My mother said she would pay my way to move there to avoid Vietnam Nam when I was in high school.  They ended the war by the time I was eligible to go, so she was relieved.

Thanks for the page here.  As a mtf just starting hrt (again) it’s good to have a place to share info, especially more “local”.

There are a lot of resources, so for someone just starting there could be some valuable, time saving pointers that may help ease the frustration with this.

I’m in Toronto, and my new doc treats several TGs.

With 6 million folks in the GTA you can figure we’re not alone!

Bests

Flo

PS. “Canucks” is still looked at as a derogatory name to some old school Canadians.  Either that or a bush league hockey team from the west coast!

Never to old to find peace of mind...but time moves quickly

Dear Flo:
I am so very glad to see that you are utilizing the new "Canadian Language" Forum's Section that you were recently asking about.

I also see that you have been a member of Susan's Place and the Forums since 2008.... however I do not see that you were ever provided with the Terms Of Service and Site Rules that all members need to be aware of.

Below I have included important and informative LINKS...

Please look closely at the LINKS in RED, answers are there to many questions that most members ask.

@Jessica

Different era, yet there are similarities of the 70's today. Our oldest received her permanent residence status there, she is quite happy living north of us now with her sweetie, and we are quite optimistic about her new life there  :)

Hi Everyone,

As I can't really post too often, I may as well say hello here to the other Canadians. :)
Truth be told, it isn't perfect, but pretty close, and we're really lucky to be where we are.
It took over 40 years to realise, and believe, that what I am NOT, is a mistake.

(Yes, I'm a Canadian who served in the US Navy....)
