E-Mail Notifications Not Working?

I have subscribed to a number of topics as well as individual threads on this forum to receive notifications via email when new messages are being posted. I noticed that for the last 4 weeks or so I have not received a single notification although I know that new messages have ben posted to subscribed topics. I spot-checked some of the topics and they still show as subscribed (i.e. offering me an 'unnotify' option instead of the 'notify' one). Do other folks on this forum experience the same?

I read everything, so I don't have any topics on Notify. I added this one, so I'll let you know if I get a notification when there is a reply.

I got an email notification for Rakel's post.

Technology can be wonderful.

I wonder why if I select a smiley or BOLDING that neither is always inserted at the correct location.  Instead of inserting the Web site’s smiley at the cursor or the bolding of the selected words, both operations tend to be at the leftmost position of the first line in my message, after an inserted quote if there is one.

This used to work every time.  This could be user device dependent now but it worked well say six months ago; but, has been problematic since.  Not a big deal.  I can use my smiley instead of the Web site’s smiley and if I want to, I can insert manually the markup language for bolding.

That is odd, I still did not get any notifications, not even notifications of additional answers posted to this thread. I have checked my spam folders (both on my machine as well as on Gmail), I checked all my profile settings which are now set to receive the maximum amount of e-mails, but still zero - nil - nada - nichts. Any idea where else I could look?

I don't know about the limit, but you can see your list at Profile/Modify profile/Notifications.

Just to give an update on this issue, this week all of a sudden all e-mails from susans.org started flowing again! I have no idea as to why, I certainly didn't change anything on my end, but this is at least a most welcome development!

I should have updated this thread, we did have a problem with outgoing mail from the site. That has been resolved, obviously. Thanks for bearing with us.  :)

Password reset requests may have also been not working.  My password  evaporated from memory a while back and the reset request finally worked today.   -mS

FYI ...  I have been receiving my Email notifications and I just now did a test Email to verify.
The Email notification came immediately through....
.... so my conclusion is that it is working OK as of now.

I received the notification for a new post here, and I've been getting my usual Staff notifications, so I think it's up and running. We had an outage recently, and the email system may have missed a few during the reboot? I'm just guessing here.. :)

That is really an odd case. The last e-mail I got from Susan's was yesterday at 3:45pm CST, nothing further since then, including both of your posts under this thread. I checked again all my spam folders and spam settings, but they are all clear.

Interestingly, my subscription notifications still work in Tapatalk on my iPhone. According to Tapatalk I have missed at least 9 notification e-mails since yesterday afternoon.

I am not sure what else I can do on my end...
