TG/TS individuals and their childhood experiences

I am going to preface this all with a question, since if I ask it at the end the few people who do actually read this will likely not notice the question. Does anyone have an out of the ordinary story concerning their realization that they are infact TG or TS? If so would you mind sharing it? I ask because I really don't remember my childhood and that has gotten me thinking of the general story of TG/TS people and how I cannot say I feel the same way. It sometimes makes me wonder if my feelings are valid or not.
There seems to be two similar stories I have seen concerning many TG and TS individuals childhoods, neither of which I can relate my experiences to. These are oversimplified and obviously each person's story is a bit different but these are the two main ones that I have seen. Please tell me if I am wrong in these generalizations or if there are others that you have observed in many people and I will edit what I said accordingly, but again remember they are oversimplified and quick generalizations.
