It seems I'm being witch hunted by the company that contracts the company I work for.  Apparently someone did some digging and found my old name in my personal history.  The  conservative nature of my industry is not conducive to bearing such things idly by when found out.  If I should need to take up legal action for discrimination, do any of you know of a lawyer who might take my case?

Don't know of anyone Maddie, hopefully someone does. In the meantime I will do some research. You might want to also consider contacting The ACLU

Ditto but look up a FTM named Kylar Broadus:
Kylar W. Broadus is founder and director of Trans People of Color Coalition (TPOCC). TPOCC works to bring together communities of color to share resources and is the only national group working towards this end. Kylar is a professor, attorney, activist and public speaker from Missouri. He is an associate professor of business law at Lincoln University of Missouri, a historically black college. He has been board chair for the National Black Justice Coalition from 2007 until 2010. He is on the American Bar Association's Committee-Section for Individual Rights and Responsibilities and the newly formed ABA Committee for Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity. He has served on the board of director of the National Stonewall Democrats 1998-2002. In August 2005, Broadus along with two other panelists were the first to present information before the ABA regarding Transgender clients.

Discrimination: What We Know Now and How to Assert Your Rights (Interactive Lecture)
Harper Jean Tobin, M. Dru Levasseur
CLE Employment Legal Schools
We know that anti-trans discrimination is an enormous problem, that protections at the local and state level are slowly expanding, and that explicit federal protection hasn't come yet. This session will review first-of-its-kind national data about the extent of this discrimination from the National Transgender Discrimination Survey, and review how federal agencies are beginning to use their existing powers to address it. Participants will learn how to use the survey data in advocacy efforts, how to file individual complaints with federal agencies, and how to seek other assistance from the federal government to address discrimination in housing, schools, workplaces, jails and airports.
Most useful for: legal and social service providers and community activists, but should be useful for anyone

M. Dru Levasseur:
M. Dru Levasseur is the Transgender Rights Attorney for Lambda Legal, the oldest and largest national legal organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of LGBT people and people with HIV. Levasseur focuses his work on impact litigation, advocacy and community education to advance the civil rights of transgender people nationwide. Before joining Lambda Legal, Levasseur was staff attorney for Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund. In 2007, he co-founded the Jim Collins Foundation, a nonprofit that raises money to fund gender-confirming surgeries.

Harper Jean Tobin:
Harper Jean serves as Policy Counsel for NCTE since 2009, and served as a staff attorney for the National Senior Citizens Law Center from 2007 to 2009. She received degrees in law and social work from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

You could contact Lambda Legal   http://www.lambdalegal.org/
I'm not sure if they do referrals, but they should be able to help
at least point you in the right direction.

Each state licenses it's attorney's.  Each has it's own requirments to being a lawyer in a state & its bad news for an attorney to practice law in a state they are not licensed in.

I suggest you contact your local LGBT agency and ask for referals.

Also, it's better to be prepared then react.  I would contact an attorney now & get myself ready if they do try to do something.  If they call you in to fire you or warn you or whatever you can ask them to speak to your attorney about it.

I had the meeting today. They made no mention of my unique past. They're keeping me off the radar of the guy with the vendetta against me. Thanks for the suggestions though I really appreciate it.
