GLAAD is proud to endorse the 7th Annual Trans Day of Action on June 24, 2011 in New York City, hosted by the Audre Lorde Project. The march will last from 3 PM to 7 PM, and is aimed to raise awareness and celebrate the accomplishments of trans and gender non-conforming people.

The trans and gender non-conforming communities and their allies come together on the Trans Day of Action to seek economic and social justice for all people, regardless of their gender identity or expression. The march calls for advocates to dismantle transphobia, racism, classism, sexism, and other forms of inequality that permeate various social movements.
