New Delhi, June 18 (IANS) After months of detention at a beggars' home, a transgender caught seeking alms in south Delhi was allowed to walk free after the intervention of a Delhi court.

"The appellant undisputedly is a transgender and it is a hard fact that in our society, transgenders are being shunned even today," said Judge Chawla.
