My therapist from TX called me yesterday and sent me an email copy of the letter she is sending to Dr. Bowers in support of my surgery. Here is the relevant bit:
"As a licensed therapist who has worked with this client, I am of the opinion that at the time of our working together, her self-expression and desire for surgery to complete her manifestation of being a woman appeared genuine and necessary. Therefore, I recommend, based on our work at the time of our meetings, that she be granted her request for Sexual Reassignment Surgery. I also recommend she continue therapy and work with someone throughout her real life test and in addition, be evaluated closer to her surgery date."
