FFS recovery times

I was wondering how long FFS recovery times are.  It would help determine when I would be able to get one, if I did end up needing one.  I am just planning ahead for the future.

Some of the plastic surgeons have websites, maybe you could ask them? But it probably depends on how much is done and what is done etc.
Without knowing but bone shaving vs bone breaking and resetting would be completely different time events. I've also heard to wait while HRT has an affect on skin and fat redistribution.

I just started research a few days ago, but I don't think I ran into any recovery time frames.  It seems like it is something I'll have to do during the summer, probably next summer.

1. What work are you having done?
2. How well does your body heal?
3. Are you a good patient or a bad patient?
4. Will you have professional care in the following days?
5. What surgeon is doing the work?

- I haven't talked to a doctor yet as I am still in a very very preliminary stage, but I imagine a bit of nose, chin, jaw, and forehead. 
- It heals rather well I suppose.  I have a high pain tolerance.
- I probably consider myself an average patient.  But this is also rather important, so I'd likely go the extra mile.
- Maybe, it depends
- I was thinking Spiegel, Zukowski, Van de Ven, or Di Maggio.

Depends what you consider "recovered." Spiegel recommends 3 weeks off work: http://www.drspiegel.com/ffs-recovery-support/.

I consider recovered being able to walk around, most bruising is healed, and bandages are removed.  I don't mind swelling, but as I'm still a student, summer seems to be the best time for the procedure.
