Lately, I have been having trouble sounding like a man on the phone! :D

Every single time I call someone to schedule something, or just ask pizza, the person on the other side takes me for a female and when I say my RL male name, which I have to for now,
they ask again if it is a similiar sounding female name.

I still don't think my voice is any good, but it is somehow passing! I'm feeling happy and hopeful.

Isn't that the greatest feeling? ;D

I remember when this started happening to me, about a month after going full time.  I tried to get savings account interest information from my bank because they neglected to send me a 1099-INT for my taxes.  The lady on the phone kept insisting that <boy name> had to get call to get that information himself, even after I identified myself as "him."  But the best one so far has been when I called my student loan company to arrange a brief unemployment deferment, and even after going through the entire identity verification process with her, she still kept calling me "Ms. <last name>" even though my old boy name was unambiguously male.  I never corrected her, but simply basked in it.

For over two months now, nobody has gendered me as male on the phone.  And it never ever gets old!
