The diagnosis for my discomfort? A prolapse.
Ok. not one but 2. Both urethral AND vaginal.
It is fairly common amongst women that have several children  :)

It is surgically correctable AND  insurance might pay for it all.
Hospitalization and anesthetics (sp?), the surgeons bill would be refundable after surgery.
Phew.

Wow, I've never heard of that in the case of a neo-vagina.
Have you gotten any input from your original surgeon?

The doctor said it was fairly common. I am happy to have a diagnosis and cant wait to get it fixed.

Just thought it was funny. After all the wishing I get this  :)
Whats next? Periods?
Hehehe

This type of prolapse is common in women who have had vaginal births but not in trans women.  I don't think you need to be concerned about getting periods whoever.

A prolapse is just another name for a hernia. As the Dr says, they happen.

It is true, a uterial hernia is much more common in women after child birth. But that is irrelevant really. Perhaps the only rerason we even think about it is because we call one a prolapse, the rest hernias.

It might be unusual for it to happen in a post op woman. Perhaps a comparison would be, a car fan belt breaking, just after you've had it serviced. But these things do happen.

Repair of a hernia/prolapse is routine. Just don't go thinking of moving any furnature around, or carrying any heavy shopping for a while. :D

Whelp, the insurance company will cover a total of $1250 of the nearly $6000.
Sigh....
What to cut from the budget, what can I sell. This really is uncomfortable and I am really tired of it.

Any one got winning lotto numbers I can have?
