What are some of the effects of T that can show up within the first couple of weeks? I'm asking because I've only been on T for a week, but I think I'm noticing things when it's probably just all in my head. Like a worsening in acne already, plus I seem to be constantly thirsty, when I normally drink less than a glass of water a day (I know, so not good for me).

This morning I woke up with a sore throat that's unlike any I've had before. I'm not flemmy, I don't feel sick, it's just like a dry catch in my throat, and if I cough it sends this really sharp stab of pain down my throat. I think it is very doubtful this has anything to do with the T, as I've only been on it for such a short time, but at the same time, it's so tempting to think that it is T related.

So are there any changes that make themselves known within the first weeks of T?

I had a sore throat in the first week too, but in week 2 it turned into a cold, which I think was related to the T because I don't normally get sick, especially in the spring.  I think my immune system temporarily was all 'WTF?!", haha.

In the first several days I noticed downstairs growth/sensitivity.  I also was hungrier and sleepier in the first few weeks.  Oh yes, and hornier.  That's was really about all I noticed that early on though.  Muscle, hair, and voice changes were all in the second month.

The first thing I started to notice was slight change in voice.  I have a neutral voice anyway, but my therepist kept saying when it starts to change it will sound to co-workers like you have a cold.  The week after I started T, I had massive sinus drainage and coughed and sneezed a lot...from that point on I sounded like I had a cold.

As Bahzi said too, you get hornier.  That was easily one of the first things I noticed and there is not a day that goes by my mind is not in the gutter!

I am just now starting to see some extra hair above my lip.  I had hair there before, but now some of the areas that were bare or light colored are darker.  My g/f said my calf muscles are getting bigger too.  I figured she would know since she looks at me more then I do lol.

So far that is it for me.....oh and I believe I just had my last ....um...visit from Aunt Ruby... because it was next to nothing. My doc. said that would happen and would be surprised if I had anymore after this month.

Not much to really report on, but that is all I think we have really noticed.  I

Thanks guys, that's a big help! :D

My throat is seriously killing me, it's so dry and ouchy  >:( I'm hoping it is the first sign of change, because if this ends up just being a cold, I'll be so upset! >:( Seriously super painful...

I actually haven't noticed the horny thing, which is surprising since I'm already such a horny guy as it is  >:-) I'm sure it will kick in eventually.

A few of the things I thought I was experiencing in the first few weeks were just psychological. I thought I was getting more leg hair which, in fact, I was not. I thought I was because I expected it. Kinda like a placebo effect.

The only definite changes I noticed within the first 3 months were more acne, growth "down there" (lol) and more energy. Then again I was on an abnormally low dose.

I never heard of someone feeling more thirsty from it..

I didn't notice anything new on my first week.

But then again, I was on a half dose.

In my first week, I was getting twinges down there. I'm not sure when I noticed growth, but I suppose it might have started then.

On the fifth day, I started to be incredibly horny. I had a therapy appointment about two hours later and was already attracted to my therapist, so I could barely keep my hands off him. For quite some time after that, I had to literally force myself not to touch him when he got up to let me out the door.

I'm not sure when my throat started feeling weird. I would have to look that up.
