I recently turned 17 and going to be a senior, but I get mistaken as a 12-13ish year old constantly.
I dread the haircutters because they always cut my hair like a little kid, #3 guard is what I always ask, so they use it on the sides and then assume scissors on the top and leave my bangs super long. Like a typical haircutter, they make small talk by asking me how old I am, if I'm excited for summer, what grade I am in...ect. And then get surprised when I tell them that I'm a senior, which gives me away as to being female bodied.

On top of that, they ask my mom for permission/ is it ok that I want them to use clippers when my hair gets long.
What would you guys do in this situation/ what do you usually ask if you are getting a short hair cut?
