I think I'm addicted to pills especially Klonopines (I don't know if I spelled that right.) My mom gets them for medical purposes (My mother has never abused drugs or did alcohol or weed) and I have a strong need to steal them and snort like 3 of them because it makes me feel less depressed and it feels good. I don't know what to do because she REALLY needs them and I'm afraid she'll get sick without them but I can't stop.
Push it baby, push it baby, out of control, I got my gun cocked tight and I'm ready to blow. ;)

Sam-

I suggest you seek medical help. You can't just stop cold turkey on these, it can cause life-threatening seizures. You need to slowly taper down your usage so your body gets used to it. If you don't want to get professional help, you need to work really, really hard at stopping on your own. Think about your mom. She WILL get sick without them. There are plenty of websites where you can find support for quitting, just do some Google searches.

If you truly are using them to self-medicate for depression and not just to get high, then you need to consider seeing a doctor and getting your own (probably different) medication prescribed to help with that. Good luck.

(I am not judging you for doing this, if it seems that way. I've been in a similar boat and I just want you to do what's best.)

My problem was with alcohol, not pills, but addiction is addiction. Seek help, and if you end up not needing any, consider yourself a strong person. You know stealing medicine from someone is bad, yeah? Best wishes, hugs, Tracey

This quoted text can NOT be repeated often enough!  I wound up with a Klonopin addiction taking a dosage prescribed to me by a doctor for anxiety.  After two weeks of only being able to remain awake for four or five hours a day, I wanted off the meds.  Coming off Klonopin was the worst feeling I've ever had in my entire life, probably even worse than major stomach surgery.  I didn't sleep for four solid days and nights despite being horribly exhausted and my sleep didn't normalize for nearly a month.  On top of the insomnia, I had tremors, sweats, and serious panic.

But in the end, getting off of the pills was worth it.  However, it needs to be done safely given how dangerous the withdrawal effects can be.  In fact, I strongly believe it should be done under doctor supervision.  I know that may not be possible in this case, but if there's any way to see a doctor, please do so.
