This is the second or third time I have called and no one is ever available even during business hours. I don't get it. Any ideas? I feel so suicidal-like right now that I want to puke and am to tired to do anything even remotely productive.

Yes, they're almost always busy. I think there is a better chance reaching someone on the weekends or night time.

Try Trevor Project?

I think I am too old for Trevor Project. If I am not mistaken, it is for people under 25 I think and I am 27. Maybe I am thinking of something else. I 'll look them up anyways. Thanks.

Keep trying Trans Lifeline -- they're a great organization even though they're understaffed. Right now, they have less than half the staff they need to keep up with the call volume, which has approximately doubled since the Orlando shootings, not to mention all the bathroom bill, uh, stuff that's come down this year. The operators are all volunteers, and it's hard, intense work even with a lot of training and support -- there's a pretty high burnout rate.

And if anyone is interested in volunteering, you can contact them via their website. Under "Get Involved" at the top of the page, click on "Volunteer Sign-up."  They can really use the help, and it's a great way to give back if you're farther along on this journey.

Early evenings are a good time to call -- most of the operators are at their day jobs during business hours.
