Epilating re-growth after lots of electrolysis?

Well, desperate time require desperate measures.
As mentioned before (at least in my case) there is just as it seems never-ending facial hair re-growth.
Since my electrolysist now waits for some form of ok from my brain-surgeon to carry on (the poor girl got spooked by me almost dieing after my last session) she will not carry on electrolysis till getting a green light.
Meanwhile what do I do? I have not really shaved since months and will try not to do so now. I HATE STUBBLE!
So after using the tweezers for the areas I can see ok, I started to get problems along my neck and under my chin. Very hard to reach.
Now I can NOT see this being a proposition if you had no laser and/or electrolysis before but if so, the re-growth is at least a bit less thick and the roots are quite a bit less sensitive. I had some 100 hr of electrolysis so far.
So out comes the Braun epilator using the narrow head for bikini and under-arms (OUCH!) WOW IT WORKS!
The pain is manageable and the narrow head does not pinch my sensitive (turkey)-neck. The cheeks are a cinch and even a tweezer pre-plugged moustache area works quite ok.
Now, am I just lucky or really stating the obvious?
Please let me know.

Hi Axelle,

Is your electrologist being reasonable in your opinion?

Hi Kim,
shame yes, I guess she is reasonable IMO. The poor dear almost had me die cold on her table!
I've seen my beauticians in the meantime (2 weeks post-op) and it's just, it may even be her girl-boss also, that she wants some backing before carrying on. I do understand her fear.
BTW she is almost like a second therapist to me --- and I to her too, i.e. Auntie Axelle :-)

I haven't found a good place yet to start electro, so for the time being I sit down with some music or a TV show I've already seen through (Bones, Lost, Fringe, House, Breaking Bad, etc) and my trusty tweezers, a 5x makeup mirror (mines probably 6" diameter), and a good LED flashlight. Takes me probably about 2 hours to do a pretty perfect job on just the goatee region, don't get much stubble beyond that, and the fuzzies I find on my neck get taken care of well enough by a razor in my opinion. YMMV, but I find this to be particularly satisfying, if you take it slow, and one at a time, the hairs kind of slide out without any pain at all. I find it oddly soothing, kind of like popping a really tough pimple. Be careful though, it may become problematic in the long run for electro or laser, depending on what you do. Not sure if electro needs a hair to zap, but I have a good feeling laser absolutely needs the dark root to heat up to be effective in any way. As epilation is the same thing, done by a machine en masse very quickly, and painfully I might add, you could expect the same potential problems.

The problem with plucking/epilating is it causes increased blood flow to the follicles.  This in turn causes the follicle to grow thicker and coarser, resulting in a larger hair problem over time.  It also makes your electrologist's job that much more difficult. :(

Really?!
I HATE shaving. Gives me GID, not kidding.
And plucking eyebrows, etc?
You're quite sure about that or is it more anecdotal?

I've been using an epilator for awhile now, and have noticed a decrease in hair growth, plus some hairs have turned from black thick hairs to thin light hairs!
