I dont know if anyone else is annoyed by this. Have you ever known a person whose mere presence weighs heavily (negatively) and can suck energy from a room while replacing it with a garbage atmosphere? An example would be that you find yourself in a room with several people, including the person of point. Impossible it is to not notice, putting distance between them and you, the only solution?

I guess an online example could be that you log onto a site and go to the forums, and immediately that presence is there, just ewwww, maybe im just weird

I know exactly what you mean! There is a girl at work that is like this for me. Constantly negative, never a nice word for anyone, really rude. Just bein g in the same room with her makes my skin crawls and my blood pressure climb.

Emotions are contagious, negativity breeds negativity, positivity breeds positivity. If someone is negative enough they can even bring down a whole room of people of a neutral and sometimes even positive disposition.

I have been doing my best to embrace positive influences and either rid myself or distance myself from the negative influences around me. This means there are some people I just have to stay away from for my own good. I want to be happy, and I won't let other people bring me down.

Sadly, I think this is all a natural part of the human experience.

I agree. Unfortunately, the world is full of negative people like that and it is something we all have to get used to. I make it a point to distance myself from it whenever possible, or try my best to continue my positive outlook no matter my surroundings. Its sometimes difficult to do though.

But, in a wicked sort of way, I find that there is nothing more annoying to a negative person than someone who is very positive and happy no matter what is going on, and love nothing more than to be that way around them whenever possible. :P *insert evil, maniacal laugh here*

Sadly, I used to be one of these people.  I'm doing better at it now that I'm getting more confident with my androgyny.  Now I'm happy, and I try to make others happy, too.   :D
