long hair vs short hair

I took this one morning when I was getting ready for work.  I looked cuter in the mirror than it came out in the photo, but that's always the way with me.  I wasn't trying to pass or anything, since everyone knows me as female there (or if they think "it", they keep it to themselves for the most part), and I don't plan on cutting my hair much shorter than about shoulder length.  I'm afraid of looking too much like a butch woman, when I'd rather look like a pretty boy.

I've been cutting my hair short for the longest time.
Since I was 13.
This is my typical haircut:

It's grown out a little, though.
And this is me, with the same haircut, "manned up" with makeup (warning: I look angry...but I'm not):

I let my hair grow really long a couple of years ago, and loved it.
But I would rather be a male with long hair than a female with long hair.
