In reading some of the posts, I want to say, for all of you women out there, I admire all your courage.  I am ftm, and we all have to overcome the prejudice out there.  But, I do believe it is a harder road for my sisters out there.  I know when I came out, it was hard, and at the same time, society does'nt care about someone they perceive as female to wear men's clothing.  But, for someone they perceive as male, to wear female clothing is another matter. And, I just want to say, yes, as trans people we are courageous, but for all you women, you are the most courageous people I have ever seen.  And, I am proud to be your brother.

Thank you so very much it definitely is scary to face the highly prejudiced and bigoted world with head held high some days, but all in all it is a fight worth fighting. Might I also add that I am also proud to be your sister.

I have to admit that  most FtM pass very well and if they don't no one cares.

The only part of this journey I hate is being called a sissy. It has  only happened once to my face. It shocked me. I was so offended. I was wearing a T and a skirt, a long one.

You know, I've been wanting to say this too. You girls are amazing, and in a lot of ways it's much harder for you to be who you truly are. Hugs to all my sisters

I've always thought it's a difficult road for both genders.  It would be so much easier if we could just trade brains.  It's true that a ftm can cut her hair and wear male clothes and no one will bat an eye at walmart.  But that doesn't mean they are accepting you as a male.  They are accepting your fashion choice.  It's also true that a mtf with long hair wearing a dress will get some stares at walmart.  They will neither accept her as a female or his fashion choice.  In that respect you are completely correct that it is a bit easier for you guys.  One advantage we have over our brothers is makeup.  It's amazing what a little makeup can do for a girl.  Too bad they don't make five o'clock shadow in a jar!

Thank you for those kind words of support. I am sure that there are many of your Sisters who are happy to read your post. I admire all my Brothers and Sisters. Everyone has their own story and obstacles they are overcoming or have overcome, from coming out to family all the way to SRS and Beyond after losing everything.
But I thank you for  that. *hugs* it was very sweet of you
