Kerberos

hello everyone, been reading (lurking) the FTM forums and finally decided to jump in and try to make some friends. I will be on T for three years in November and just recently had top surgery.

Personally, my transition has been mostly positive however there have been some hard times too. Rejection from family and friends. Not experiencing a "community". Employment issues. Anxiety and depression. Loneliness. But reading the lists here have been helpful and I feel there are quite a few decent folks here with interesting and helpful things to teach. I look forward to the chance of getting to know others and try and not feel like an outsider as much as I do irl.

Thanks for the opportunity to join in!

Welcome aboard, there will no doubt be an Admin along soon to give you the Official Welcome and the drum on things.

I live in a rural area and really don't know of any local trans people, so you are not alone in that either.

Have fun, Karen.

Hi, Kerberos (three heads are better than one :)), come on in and welcome to Susan's! We're a diverse and friendly bunch here (the head count is over 7600) - get into things as slowly or as quickly as you feel comfortable, I'm sure you'll find plenty of support here.

And be sure to take time to check out these links for the bobby on the house rules:

Hi Kerberos

Welcome here, dude.
Nice to meet you.
Looks nice, living in a rural area, I'm from the Netherlands, there are not so many rural places left here, so i live in a city.
Sorry to read about the rejection and so on, but you know what you are and what you want, so at the end of the day, you win, I'm sure about that.

I'm looking forward to your future posts

Hugs
Annette

Hi Kerberos!

It really is hard when you don't have people to talk with this stuff about. I hope you find what you're looking for here. And congrats on top surgery!
