Kia Ora all,

::) Ahh dilation...Don't you just love it  :icon_yikes:

It would seem the first few months after surgery dilation takes up almost every waking moment...You had to organise your day around your dilation schedule...

::) Just out of interest/curiosity, has any of you post op girls stopped/given up dilating ? And if so why? I'm not advocating stop dilating, just curious....

BTW as an asexual I have no real need to dilate, however I still do it once a week...An uncomfortable habit  ;)

Thought about it a lot, I mean it's far too tight to accommodate a guy.. assuming I'd ever actually do that. But I figure if I did stop then that is that and in the future I may regret it, something anything could happen/change and once it's gone it's virtually gone. I've said it before and I'll say it again I #$%^ing hate dilating, h.a.t.e. I should be down to twice a day by now but I'm not and that just makes me hate it even more. ->-bleeped-<- you dilating.

I'm not paying that kind of money and then let it close up! I'm married, to a woman, haven't cheated in 28 years, don't expect to (however, never say never again), but I'm certainly not losing the potential.

Susan Kay,  after going through the cost of money and pain you want to keep it open now so you it when want it later.  Dilation is a big part of the recovery for mtf's.

I dilate about once a week now, but also have regular sex which is supposed to count.  Mainly I continue dilating because I kind of got used to it, and I look forward to that little bit of quiet time for myself as a reminder of how great it is to be on this side of the surgery.  It's become more like a meditation ritual really.

I couldn't tell you the last time one of the dilators saw the light of day...I am sure that I have lost depth through the years, but since digital or oral is the extent of my sex life, depth isn't an issue for me the way it would be for a straight girl...
