Mrs. Tina Johnson

Hi Everyone,

I am new here and I finally have the courage and feel comfortable to start posting.

I have always known that I was Trans (MTF) but have suppressed it all my life, until now.

Luckily, I live in the Kansas City area and I'm attending the Transgender Institute. Therefore, I am getting all the help and support I need for my transition.
I have started my therapy sessions, but no HRT yet; At least not until all my facial hair is gone. In addition, I have to loose a ton of weight to get down to my desired girly weight. Then FFS and BA.
As you can see, I have a long way to go, especially since I am transitioning kind of late (40).

Nevertheless, I have done a lot of research at this site and have learned a lot in a short period. I specially love how everyone is so loving and supportive of each other. (Unlike my friends who have turned away from me in disgust.)

As soon as I earn enough posts, I will post some pics and keep you all posted on my progress.

Hugs and Kisses,
Mrs. Johnson

Hi Centcomm01, Yeah, I got lucky with my head doc. I've read some of them can keep you in limbo for years without letting you transition. That must be horrible! And luckily, mine accepts my insurance! Yay!

Hi CarlieElizabeth, So nice to meet you! I like your name, it's pretty :)
Hugs, Mrs. J :)

Even in death, may I be triumphant.

Hi GENNEE, Thank you for the warm welcome! I really appreciate it! :D

Hi CarlieElizabeth, Your therapists runs a complete gender clinic? That's wonderful!!!

Hi xxJulia1313xx, Thank you for your kind words... My therapist told me the same thing you said, they're really not my firends after all. It really hurt me a lot that they turned away from me when I told them about my transition plans. But from now on, they are out of the loop, no more confiding with them! Anyway, I just joined this site and I just joined a local support group, so I will make plenty of new friends in no time! :D
Hugs, Mrs. J :)

Welcome aboard

Don't worry about your age...I turn 40 in a couple weeks - YIKES!  However, I am going the other way.

K.C. is an okay kinda place --- I grew up in Topeka - graduated undergrad from KU ... most of my family lives in Kansas - brother in Shawnee - brother in Eudora - grandparents in Lawrence - parents in Topeka ----so I pass through your town often.   Plus I have several friends who live in the KC area.

Age is just a state of mind -- don't worry about it!

Cool! you have a KC connection ;D
I'm not originally from KC. Only been here for five years. I don't really like it too much. There is so much crime and violence... KC actually surpassed Detroit in the number of homicides! Saint Louis is even worse!
Anyway, I know age is just a state of mind, but for us girls, youth means a lot. So I'm gonna do everything I can to look as young as possible! Wish me luck, I need it! LOL

Hi, Mrs. J.  I'm Sage.  If it's any consolation, I don't think you're disgusting; no one should think that of you.  *hug*
