I will have SRS with DR. Suporn in the middle of August, and I found there are different opinions on when MTF patient should stop hormone. I am taking oral tablet. And Per Dr. Suporn's suggestion, I should stop 1 week before my travel, but I saw online that some Drs. suggest 2 weeks  or 20 days. Like to get some opinions from your experience. thx.

I think you answered your own question.  Why consider what other doctors and patients do when you are going to Suporn.  Follow his instructions and forget about others would be my advise.

Hope I didn't come across as sounding strong.  He is a good doctor and I'm sure all will go well.  Best of Luck.

"When is the right time to stop hormone before SRS?"

When YOUR surgeon tells you to.

Except?!
If you have a REALLY hard time to stop E, as it happened to me.
I spoke to my surgeon and he told me if it was that bad, he could make some other plan and I could back on E.

But generally do what you surgeon asks.

Funny thing though is, what about GGs going for surgery? Put them on Anti-E i.e. T?!
Come on, gotta be joking.

Well, not all seems so equal in this here gender situation :-)

Good luck,
Axelle

Follow Dr. Suporn's guidelines, each surgeon seems to have their own thinking on what is best, Dr. Mcginn had me stop all but my heart, diabetes and spiro meds 2 weeks before surgery, i could restart them 2 weeks after surgery, i was told i could restart my estrogen a few days early due to pretty bad hot flashes i had been having.

Paula.
