I am so sorry to hear about Monroe!    I know from experience that the death of a much loved pet is shattering.

Hugs.

That made me cry.

I've only ever had one cat, but she was more a cat my mom found and let hang around outside our house.  But this story hit me in a different way.  I accidentally ran over a cat.  It was the worst feeling in the world and having been on the other side of the situation I want to say I'm sorry  for what happened.  I know I wasn't the driver in this situation but hearing that someone's fluffy friend has been hit by a car brings me back to that country road.

But planting a tree along with Monroe sounds like a beautiful burial.  I know, having to bury a pet at all is hard but at least now you'll have a reminder about Monroe and Elle.

Thank you so much =)  I wonder about the driver, but I suspect he/she had a reason for not stopping.  I did a similar thing many years ago.  I was drinking and driving and I ran over somebodies cat, except I stopped, but never found it.  I think it was also the last time I ever drank and drove a car.  I eventually quit drinking and using completely and started working for a drug and alcohol recovery place.. but I still think about running over that cat all the time =(

I tried to stop for the cat but I saw it just as I came over the crest of a hill. I tried to move the car so the cat would end up between the wheels and walk away without a scratch but sadly no such luck.  To this day the sight of a dead animal on the road makes me cringe.

I am so sorry you lost your kitty T.T  I lost my kitty 3 years ago as well and I know how how devastating it can be.

I am not a cat person but I was in tears reading your post.  I'm so sorry for both of your losses.

Vanna,

I am saddened at your loss.  But remember the Rainbow Bridge.  Monroe is there waiting for you.  Give Luigi extra, extra love.  He knows his friend is gone.

Hugs,
Janet

My heart goes out to you in your loss.
