I never really liked phones much in the first place and held out getting a cell phone till pretty much the bitter end when I was told that if I didn't have one, I wouldn't be working near as much as 'that's how it is for everyone now.' That was 2002. I hated it, still hate it. I've had mine now since 2005 and all it does it take phone calls. No nuttin' else. I know that sooner or later I'm going to have to get one of the smartphones because 'that's how it is for everyone now' - but I won't like it.
Hell I hate laptops really.
Once upon a time backstage at a rock concert was one of the most exciting places in the world. Now, they all get off the bus and get on line and basically are about as exciting to be around as dead librarians.
How come with all this access to information and everything people don't seem any smarter?
