I understand what you mean, Kyril. I've been making some angry posts in this thread, but those were mostly a result from frustration at never being seen how I want to be seen, at walking around minding my own business when I hear "hey, girlie, get outta the way" or "that girl over there, does she work here?". Another somewhat strange trend is that when I first make a change in my appearance and post a picture (get new glasses, a new haircut, etc), people say "ooh! you pass!". Then a week or so passes and I post another photo of me, with the same hair/glasses/whatever, and people say "Y'know, you'd pass more if you changed your hair/glasses". I don't understand what I do wrong, what it is with me that sends out "this one's a giiiirl" signals when people meet me. Blah blah, vent vent rant grrr.

yes most cis people wont look that closely but they will notice these things subconsciously and make decisions about a persons gender based on these observations. like most people couldnt tell you what makes a female face look female or a male face look male, but they can see it and read faces subconsciously.

some people just cant pick out the right details who make someone pass able or not, I kinda understand because I also feel it hard to tell exactly the diffrence who make my friends passable or not. and again it depends on the person and the persons type,
a femenine boy would probebly pass dressing up in pink shorts but if your a macho trans who only into maculine stuff that would just be wierd to have a big hallo kitty cap on..

at last I must say it also depends on the the person jugding because we got diffrent views of what "passing" is, specially here where we are from all over the world. in some countrys you can pass with long hair where in others it really a no go,
and also your race got something to say, if your asian and growed up in place with almost only asian people then it can be difficult to see the diffrence in white or black people and what makes white people pass or not, like white people can find it hard to see the diffrence between asian people, and often point out false jugdements of why they look likes only based on the fact both are asian.

I think most transguy are pretty androgyne so it pretty hard to pick out details, specially details who are usefull I mean,
"you dont pass because your to small" thanks, you cant really use that for anything since your cant chance your high ,
well most details is to chance a way or another, big hips cant be chanced but you can use clothes who will draw your attention away from them or hide them, but this only usefull if the person not dressing in the kind of clothes, if the person already dress up in clothes who hide/cover hips the best way as posible then the fact about big hips are pretty useless (but I guess you should have alittle knowlegde about fashion and how clothes infect the image to pick these details out, and unless your a fashion designer that can be pretty hard to know all these details.)
