I just opened one that said "It's never crowded along the extra mile."

Right before I started to transition I got one that said "Now is a good time to explore your feminine side."

The only fortune cookie I remember as of late was one that showed me how to say golf in Chinese.
Waarom mag een jongen nooit prinsesje
Waarom mag een meisje nooit superman zijn
Elke vogel bouwt z'n eigen nestje
Hier bij ons mag iedereen zijn wie ze zijn

mine would have to say "When all else fails, drop back 10 yards and putt".  Got to love Coach Lombardi.

The one I got shortly before I went full-time said "You need to live authentically, and you can't ignore that."  Needless to say I kept it. ;D

Here's one that rings true: "Courtesy is contagious"

I carry two fortunes in the driver's license window in my wallet.  The first one was given to me by a friend:

"An optimist is the human personification of spring."

The other is one that I got the last time I had Chinese, and the friend who gave me my first fortune was with me:

"The coming month shall bring you much happiness."

So the second one didn't happen, but I believe that every day has the possibility to start a month or a lifetime of happiness. :)

My last one said "You bring happiness to all those around you."

I remember because it seems to be the truest one I've ever had! haha :D

Right before I started to transition I got one that said "Now is a good time to explore your feminine side."

I have kept one for the last 5 years that says "You should enhance your feminine side at this time."

I have a few other floating around here that I've kept,  just can't seem to find them atm.

Speaking of ones that we hold on to for a while, I still have one that I got in May of 2008.  On Friday May 2, my grandfather passed away after a lengthy battle with congestive heart failure.  On Tuesday May 6, two more of my relatives passed away unexpectedly.  On Friday May 9, my ex filed for divorce.  It was one hell of a week.  It was also the week before finals.

So the following Monday (May 12) I walked about two miles from campus to a little Chinese restaurant in a rather dingy part of town.  I opened my fortune cookie and got my first laugh in several weeks.  It cracked me up so much I slipped it in my glasses case, where it remains to this day.  It said:

You will be lucky in love.

I haven't had a date, a romantic hug, a kiss, cuddling, or anything like that in the nearly three and a half years since.  Bastard cookie.

I have two that I saved;

"You will be transforming a situation in your life now with a positive attitude."

&

"Your present plans will be successful."

i've had one that was very similiar. it said something like "there is no one standing in your way anymore, it's time to move forward." it was creepy how it struck home.

You can make a difference in the world.
Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.
