That really sucks, Kyril. Maybe there's makeup out there for people that have sensitive eyes.

Kyril are you by chance wearing makeup that is waterproof? it would seem that waterproof makeup would be better for not running into the eyes, but in fact it's extremely irritating to people with sensitive eyes and downright unsafe for those who wear contacts.

i still wear a lot of make up but I am still pre transition, I do love eyeliner and will always wear it, i usually wear mac products

I used to wear it religiously while I was trying to be feminine.  I've tried wearing it a couple of times since starting transitioning, but it makes me rather uncomfortable.

I've worn it twice: Once, when my mother thought it'd be fun to style me. She made my hair huge with hairspray, and caked makeup on my face, and I had to borrow clothes from her because my own weren't feminine enough. The second time was before the school prom, to which I showed up in a old-fashioned dress (a hoop skirt, corset, garters for the stockings, etc). I'm not a big fan of makeup, I regard it quite silly and very time-consuming, but I don't really care about how I look.

My favorite brand (for most things) is probably Milani. They're relatively cheap, high pigment, last for a while, and you can find it at CVS. Which there are like...fifty of in my hometown. Milani's lipstick, especially the darker colors, are great. Nail polish is hit or miss, though. I recently found Sinful Colors, and they work damn nice. They've got the neon green that I'm planning on hijacking from my mom soon.

Eyeliner, I generally use liquid on top of a softer stick. For liquid, I think it's called Prestige? Stays on good, comes off with water, variety of colors. They have this really nice sky blue I used to use as a liquid eyeshadow.

Concealer and whatnot...I think I use Revlon. Been a while. I used to have this MaryKay stuff a friend bought me that worked great (I've got a weird skin tone and it's damn hard for me to find a concealer that matches) but it made me a litter paler than I am, which...kinda aggravated me. I'm Italian, damnit.

Stuff to avoid? Wet and Wild, for the most part. Lipstick is fine, some of the eyeshadows are okay, but their stick eyeliner and nail polish are AWFUL.



Kyril, have you tried using the mineral/natural makeup brands? My aunt is allergic to almost everything and she's able to wear that stuff.

I actually can't use the mineral stuff anywhere on my face or it gets in my eyes. It's like sand. I don't think I'm allergic, per se - I think it's the actual particles.

I would like to wear concealer, but I don't know what color to get and I'm afraid it would make me break out.

Haven't worn makeup in over 10 years. I like nail polish, but really don't have the energy or motivation to paint my nails. Makeup was something that was forced on me by my surrounding culture when I was younger, and it's the last thing I'd want to use now that I'm finally able to live as myself.

@Ravij, if you want I can dig mine out sometime and give you the name/brand on it. It's good stuff, it feels a little greasy going on but other than that it works great.

There has been discussion on the possible effects of breathing in the mineral stuff, I was told by a beautician to use it in a well ventilated area, she also wore a paper mouth cover while using it, saying she is exposed to it 8/24 and didn't want to keep breathing it in, which seemed sensible but a little off putting

only when i know i will go out dressed up, the purpose ids to look perfectly with what i want to be identified a classy lady when i dress up.

I put all attention on detail, and i usually dont do it myself i have a makeup artist to do that for me at a cd photo studio, she just does her magic and i am another person hardly to be id by anyone.

I only ever use make up (very rarely) to cover zits/the super bags under my eyes; if you want to use something super natural and relatively healthy for your skin (won't clog pore/cause outbreaks) you could try Herbs of Grace, they have an online store and they don't have animal byproducts or conduct animal testing so it's animal and vegan friendly.  It's just mineral powder so sometimes trickier, but they have lots of colors and stuff, prob just about any mineral powder type of makeup isn't animal tested, you can also google it or check the PETA website, vegan websites or web pages will usually have info on diff makeup companies.

Aight, so it's Rimmel brand, 'Renew and Lift', 100 Ivory. Had to be under 6$ because I never spend much on makeup if I can help it.
