I don't know if anyone here will have any info, but I can't find anything relevant online. When I search or information regarding trans status and moving abroad, all I get is information from the US about people with trans partners and visas. But that's not relevant.
I plan on moving abroad after I graduate, to Russia. I've not started T yet, but I was planning on starting this year. Then I realised I had no idea what that meant for moving abroad. Part of me is desperate to finally grab the bull by the horns and start transitioning, but another part is sad and scared for what it could mean for emigrating. I've wanted to move to Russia for years, and it's a country I'm very passionate about. I have no intentions on staying in the UK at all. But then, what does it mean for visas? For documents? How does one continue treatment? Russia's ability to assist with trans issues is about as prevalent as public support, ie none. I can't take T for just two or three years and then stop, but nor will I be able to continue treatment in Russia without a lot of trouble and discrimination, nor do I think I could afford it.
Half of this is asking for advice, another half getting this concern off my chest. I feel like I wouldn't start treatment if it meant I couldn't emigrate to Russia, but I wouldn't go to Russia if it meant I couldn't start treatment. On top of that, after telling my girlfriend I'm serious about wanting to start taking hormones, she just got quiet, couldn't look me in the eye, and admitted that she doesn't know if it would work out between us if I did.
Just... бляяяяяяяяяяяяяяяяя!

My guess is that it would be a lot easier to manage if you got to the point in your transition in the UK where you could get all your paperwork changed to male and new name and so on, before you move to Russia. Meanwhile, do some research on finding trans-friendly doctors wherever you plan to move to who can keep an eye on your blood/health. Then the internet is there for your meds needs. Also, you could stockpile some medication to take out with you, but that could be tricky taking it through customs! Your best bet is to see if there are trans organisations and support groups over there to get the local bobby from, find out what the situation is really like for trans people in Russia.

And this is just my opinion, but I would question making such a big change alongside such another big change at the same time. So I'd probably do the transition and then the move, since you benefit from all the support you can get over here while the transition is happening, and then make your move into a new culture with a lot of that turmoil already done with.
